Car fire – March - Fenland

At 10.14pm on Friday (19) crews from March were called to a fire on Whittlesey Road in March. 

Firefighters arrived to find a car alight with the fire spreading to a ditch. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels. A casualty was treated for burns at the scene and left in the care of ambulance crews. 

The crews returned to their station by 11.45pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
