Lorry fire - Brampton - Huntingdonshire

On Friday (26)  at 12.52pm, crews were called to a lorry fire on the A14 near Brampton.

Firefighters from Chatteris, Ramsey (along with the water carrier) and Huntingdon responded to the incident.

Crews arrived to find a lorry carrying hay bales on fire.

Firefighters used hose reels and jets to get the incident under control and extinguish the fire.  A farmer also attended to assist with removing the hay bales.

Firefighters remained on scene well into the evening, before reinspecting the lorry the following day.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
