Stubble fire - Whittlesford - South Cambs

On Wednesday (31) at 2.52pm, crews were called to a stubble field fire on the A1301 near Whittlesford.

Crews from Cambridge, the south roaming fire engine and crews from Essex Fire and Rescue and Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service responded.

Firefighters got to work using hose reels, beaters and small gear to get the fire under control.

Firefighters returned to their stations by 6pm, before the incident was reinspected later in the evening.
