House fire - Queen Edith's ward - Cambridge

On Saturday (3) at 10.44am, crews from Cambridge were called to a house fire on Tillyard Way, Cambridge.

Crews arrived to find smoke issuing from a ground floor window.

Firefighters gained access to the property, and wearing breathing apparatus, they used a hose reel to extinguish the fire in the kitchen, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 12.30pm.
