House fire - Romsey ward - Cambridge

On Tuesday (7) at 10.19pm, crews from Cambridge, Cottenham and Sawston were called to a house fire on Thoday Street, Romsey ward.

Crews arrived to find a first floor flat well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel and jet to extinguish the fire.

Crews returned to their stations by 12.45am, before reinspecting the property later in the morning.

A fire investigation will be carried out to determine the most likely cause of the fire.
