Flat fire – St Neots - Huntingdonshire

At 6.45pm on Saturday (7) crews from Gamlingay and Papworth, along with crews from Bedford and Kempston in Bedfordshire, were called to a fire on Luke Street in St Neots.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a first floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a jet and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The building was safely evacuated before the crews arrived.

The crews returned to their stations by 8.50pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
