Road traffic collision – A47 - Peterborough

At 8.15pm on Friday (8) crews from Stanground, Dogsthorpe and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a road traffic collision on the A47.  

Firefighters arrived to find a collision involving three vehicles on the westbound carriageway near Wansford. One vehicle had left the road and was on a bank, with another well alight from the collision. Using specialist cutting equipment they released four casualties. One sadly died at the scene.  

The crews returned to their stations by 11.20pm.
