Lorry fire – Hampton - Peterborough

At 7.38am on Friday (20) crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a fire on Buckthorn Road in Hampton, Peterborough. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a refuse lorry. They relocated the lorry to a nearby car park, emptied the contents and extinguished the fire using a hose reel.  

The crews returned to their stations by 8.30am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
