St Ives firefighters and Scouts team up for charity
26/09/2016
St Ives fire station is putting on a charity car wash this Saturday (October 1) between 10am and 3pm.
Firefighters will be washing cars, scooters, bikes and vans to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
Joining the event will be beavers, cubs and scouts from the Gateway Scout Group, who will be selling cakes to help raise funds for Water Aid UK, a charity which helps provide safe drinking water around the world.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service’s own Community Fire Safety Officer Jill Gibbs will also be on hand to offer fire safety advice, along with On-call Recruitment Officer Sam Sanderson who’ll be there to discuss becoming an on-call firefighter to any interested parties.
