Fire in the open - Werrington - Peterborough

On Saturday (9) at 2.58pm, crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a fire in the open on Fenbridge Road, Werrington.

Crews arrived to find a row of conifers and fencing well alight, along with a garden shed. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and small tools to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 5.15pm.
