Building fire – Prickwillow - East Cambs

At 9.27am on Thursday (15) crews from Ely and Littleport, along with the south roaming fire engine and crews from Newmarket and Mildenhall in Suffolk, were called to a fire on Main Street in Prickwillow.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a derelict building with smoke issuing through the roof. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 12.45pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
