Roof fire - Fen Drayton - Huntingdonshire

On Saturday (15) at 1.30pm crews were called to a roof fire on Oaktree Road, Fen Drayton.

Crews from Cambridge, St Neots, March, Huntingdon and St Ives responded, along with a turntable ladder appliance.

Crews arrived to find a large smoke plume coming from the property, with the roof well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire.

Property was reinspected later in the evening and the following day.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
