House fire - Doddington - Fenland

On Friday (28) at 12.36am, crews from Chatteris and Manea were called to a house fire on Doddington Road, Chatteris.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel and jet to extinguish the fire in a bedroom, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 1.50am.
