Horse Rescue - Chatteris - Fenland

On Sunday (30) at 6.35pm a crew from Dogsthorpe, Chatteris and Huntingdon were called to rescue an animal on London Road, Chatteris.

Crews arrived to find a horse had been struck by a vehicle, and a second horse stuck in a ditch.

Firefighters worked alongside a vet and with the assistance of a farmer, using specialist equipment to rescue the horse from the ditch.

Crews left the scene shortly after 9.30pm.
