Car fire – A14 - South Cambs

At 9.10am on Saturday (5) crews from Cambridge, along with a crew from Newmarket in Suffolk, were called to a fire on the A14.  

Firefighters arrived to find a car on fire on the eastbound carriageway between Newmarket and Stow-Cum-Quy. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 10.30am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
