Chimney fire – Holywell - Huntingdonshire

At 1.07pm on Saturday (3) a crew from Huntingdon was called to a fire on Back Lane in Holywell.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a chimney in a house and extinguished it. They returned to their station by 2.45pm. 

A fire service spokesman said: “Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brick work inspected at least once a year, preferably before lighting it when the cold weather arrives. This will help to prevent a chimney fire.”
