Car fire - A14 - East Cambs

At 1.54pm on Sunday (10) crews were called to a fire on the A14 eastbound.

Around 20 firefighters, including crews from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine, along with crews from Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident.

Crews arrived to find two cars well alight on a petrolĀ  station forecourt. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 4pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
