Chimney fire – Castle Camps - South Cambs

At 3.37pm on Saturday (6) a crew from Linton was called to a fire on Nosterfield End in Castle Camps. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a chimney in a house. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their station by 6.45pm. 

A fire service spokesman said: “Please ensure that you get your chimney swept and brick work inspected regularly, at least once a year. The debris buildup in the flue can be set alight when heating the home, which could cause a significant fire. Regular chimney maintenance will help prevent this from happening.”
