Building fire - Market Ward - Cambridge

At 6.35am on Thursday (11) crews from Cambridge, Cottenham and Newmarket (Suffolk) along with a turntable ladder were called to a building fire on Regent Street in Cambridge.

Firefighters arrived to discover a fire in a ground floor bin room. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 8.20am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
