Flat fire - Whittlesey - Fenland

At 2.58pm on Tuesday (29) crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe along with the north roaming fire engine were called to a flat fire on Sorrel Avenue in Whittlesey.

Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire.

One casualty was left in the care of ambulance crews.

Crews were at the scene until around 6.15pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
