House fire – Abbey ward - Cambridge

At 8.53am on Monday (11) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Ditton Fields in Abbey ward, Cambridge.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a ground floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their station by 10am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
