Building fire - Kirtling - East Cambs

On Wednesday (27) at 11.22pm, crews from Soham, Linton and two crews from Newmarket, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, were called to an incident on Newmarket Road, Kirtling.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the loft of the property.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 1.40am.
