Bungalow fire - St Ives - Huntingdonshire

At 6.50am on Wednesday (27) crews from Chatteris, Gamlingay, Ramsey and Cambourne were called to a bungalow fire on Edinburgh Drive in St Ives. 

Firefighters used four hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and dampened down the area, checking for hotspots. 

Sadly, a man died at the scene. 

A second casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance crews with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire will be determined by a fire investigation.
