Building fire – Burwell - East Cambs

At 6.43pm on Saturday (6) crews were called to a fire on Reach Road in Burwell. 

Crews from Burwell, Cambridge, Cambourne and Ely, along with crews from Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, attended the incident. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving an aircraft hangar containing a tractor. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets and returned to their stations by 9.30pm. 

An investigation will be carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
