House fire – Steeple Morden - South Cambs

At 9.46pm on Friday (10) crews from Gamlingay and Cambridge, along with crews from Baldock and Royston in Hertfordshire, were called to a fire on Bogs Gap Lane in Steeple Morden.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet. The property was evacuated when the crews arrived, and crews were able to rescue three cats.

The crews returned to their stations by 1.30am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
