House fire – Sawston - South Cambs

At 10.24am on Monday (31) crews from Sawston and Cambridge were called to a fire on Link Road in Sawston.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the bedroom of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The property was safely evacuated when the crews arrived.

The crews returned to their stations by 11.45am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
