Building fire – Ely - East Cambs

At 7pm on Monday (2) crews from Ely were called to a fire on Chapel Street in Ely. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a dishwasher on the first floor. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.  

They returned to their station by 8.30pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
