Building fire – Abbey ward - Cambridge

At 8.08am on Wednesday (4) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Newmarket Road in Cambridge. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire on the first floor of a building. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.   

The crews returned to their station by 9.15am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
