Flat fire – West Chesterton - Cambridge

At 9.20pm on Thursday (23) crews from Cambridge and Burwell were called to a fire on Beaulands Close in West Chesterton, Cambridge.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a ground floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reels and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
A male casualty was treated for burns at the scene.
The crews returned to their stations by 11pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
