Flat fire - Cherry Hinton - Cambridge

At 1.35pm on Thursday (28) crews from Cambridge along with the turntable ladder and south roaming fire engine were called to a flat fire on Cherry Hinton Road in Cambridge. 

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 

Crews returned to their stations by 3.40pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
