Fire in the open - Hampton - Peterborough

At 3.38pm on Tuesday (25) crews from Dogsthorpe, Yaxley, Stanground, Huntingdon, Chatteris, March, Gamlingay, St Neots and Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a fire in the open on Natures Way in Hampton. 

Firefighters worked hard using jets, hose reels and beaters to extinguish a fire affecting approximately 12 acres of scrubland. 

Crews returned to their stations by 10pm and have been returning to reinspect the area. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
