Roof fire - Chesterton Ward - Cambridge

At 4am on Monday (14) crews from Cambridge and Cottenham were called to a roof fire on Blackthorn Close in Cambridge.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The crews returned to their stations by 6.40am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
