House fire – Castle ward - Cambridge

At 3.06am on Tuesday (28) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Huntingdon Road in Castle ward, Cambridge.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in an airing cupboard. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a jet, clearing the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. The crews returned to their station by 5.15am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
