Animal rescue - Throckenholt - Fenland

At 11.52am on Monday (1) crews from Wisbech and Dogsthorpe along with the North roaming fire engine were called to an animal rescue on Common Bank in Throckenholt.

Firefighters arrived to find a horse which had been spooked and become stuck in the river. Crews used strops and lifting machinery under supervision of a vet to rescue the horse and return her to her owner.

The crews returned to their stations by 4.30pm.
