Fire service launches community forum

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for local residents and business owners to get involved in a new online feedback forum to share their views and opinions about the work of their local fire and rescue service.

They are asking people to register their details and agree to be sent one or two emails a month either with some simple questions to respond to, or on occasions, to read some information and then complete a short survey.

Head of Media and Communication Hayley Douglas, who is leading the scheme, said: “Feedback from our communities is really important to us and can help us understand how people think and behave as well as help shape the way we do things in the future. This new group will add to the engagement work we are already doing and will give us the opportunity to capture the thoughts and views of people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough so we can continue to deliver the best possible service, as well as understand people’s attitudes towards fire safety and other issues so we can plan campaigns with greater insight.

“This is an ideal way for people to get involved and help their local fire service from the comfort of their own homes. We’d love to have people join from all areas of the county to ensure respondents represent everyone we serve.

Anyone who signs up before December 19 will be entered into a free prize draw to win a £50 gift voucher.
