Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service Seeks Peterborough Voices to Shape Future Recruitment

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is inviting Peterborough residents to share their views to help better understand and remove potential barriers to recruitment, as they look to continue to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce for the future.

The project aims to better understand the career aspirations and perceptions of people within the area's diverse communities. The feedback gathered will help the Service improve how it engages with and recruits from all local communities in the future.

Deputy Chief Fire Officer Jon Anderson said: "Hearing directly from our communities is essential. A career with us can be incredibly rewarding and we want to help more people understand what career opportunities are available to them.

“This is a unique opportunity for residents to have their voices heard and play a direct role in shaping a fire service that truly reflects the public we serve. Your perspective is incredibly important to us."

Participants are being sought for a 90-minute focus group, which will discuss topics including views on different careers, what makes a job attractive, and perceptions of Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service. Anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to find out more register their interest by completing a short online form by Sunday November 16: www.surveymonkey.com/r/CFRS-FocusGroup
