House fire – St Neots - Huntingdonshire

At 2.16am on Saturday (21) crews from St Neots and Gamlingay were called to a fire on Pepys Road in St Neots.  

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in the bedroom of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and a jet, and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.  

The property was safely evacuated when the crews arrived.  

The crews returned to their stations by 4.10am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
