Bird rescue - Boxworth - South Cambs

On Thursday (20) at 10.22am, firefighters from the south roaming fire engine were called to rescue a bird from a tree near Battlegate Road, Boxworth.

Firefighters arrived to find Red, the 9-month-old red hawk caught on a tree branch. 

After getting stuck on its first flight, firefighters used a 9-metre ladder and working at height equipment to untangle the line and release the bird, before reuniting it with its owners.
