Flat fire – city centre - Peterborough

At 10.58am on Friday (21) crews were called to a fire on City Road in Peterborough. 

Crews from Dogsthorpe, Stanground, Yaxley, Whittlesey and Ramsey, along with the north roaming fire engine and a crew from Market Deeping in Lincolnshire, attended the incident.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a flat at Cumberland House. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a jet and returned to their stations by 12.30pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
