Flat fire – city centre - Peterborough

At 1.35am on Monday (28) crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a fire on Lincoln Road in Peterborough city centre.  

Firefighters arrived to find a involving an electric sign above a shop outside a first floor flat. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their stations by 5am.  

The occupants of the property had evacuated into the rear garden of the property before the crews arrived.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
