House fire – Castle ward - Cambridge

At 3.31am on Tuesday (7) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Halifax Road in Castle ward, Cambridge.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the ground floor kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. The crews returned to their station by 4.45am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
