Building fire – Petersfield ward - Cambridge

At 5.33pm on Sunday (26) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Station Road in Petersfield ward, Cambridge. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the generator room of a hotel. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 

The crews returned to their station by 8.45pm.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
