Building fire – Alconbury - Huntingdonshire

At 4.49pm on Thursday (21) crews from Huntingdon and the south roaming fire engine were called to a fire on Old North Road in Alconbury.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving around eight tonnes of mixed recycling in a building. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a positive pressure ventilation fan. They returned to their stations by 7.45pm.
