Fire in the open – Wilburton - East Cambs

At 11.03pm on Tuesday (23) a crew from Ely was called to a fire on Whitecross Road in Wilburton. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving around 20 metres of grass verge. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 1am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
