Fire in the open - Burwell - East Cambs

On Wednesday (5) at 11.38am, crews from Burwell and Newmarket were called to a fire in the open on Swaffham Road, Burwell.

Crews arrived to find a fire in a wood storage yard with around 40 tonnes of logs well alight.

Firefighters used hose reels and created a firebreak to get the fire under control and prevent further spread.

Firefighters left the area before reinspecting later in the day.
