House fire - Dogsthorpe - Peterborough

On Tuesday (14) at 2.29pm crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to a house fire on Sycamore Avenue, Dogsthorpe.

Crews arrived to find a fire within the kitchen of a property.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel and jet to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

Firefighters provided casualty care for one occupant, who was out of the property on arrival.

The cause of the fire was accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 3.25pm.
