Stack fire - Leighton Bromswold - Huntingdonshire

On Friday (7) at 9.21pm a crew from Huntingdon responded to a stack fire on Barham Road, Leighton Bromswold. The water carrier from Ramsey was also called to assist.

Crews arrived to find a large stack well alight and spreading to neighbouring trees.

Firefighter used drags and hose reels to prevent further spread to nearby trees.

The incident was handed over to Gamlingay, followed by St Neots, March and the north roaming fire engine.

Crews from Huntingdon reinspected the area over the weekend and farm machinery was used to help contain the fire.

The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate.
