House fire – Woodston - Peterborough

At 7.05pm on Wednesday (17) crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a fire on Barley Mews in Woodston, Peterborough.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a house with smoke issuing from the premises. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

The property was evacuated prior to the crews arriving. Three casualties were treated for smoke inhalation by crews and left in the care of ambulance crews. 

The crews returned to their stations by 9.15pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
