House fire - Orton Brimbles - Peterborough

On Saturday (20) at 12.36pm, crews from Dogsthorpe, Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade and Stanground responded to a house fire on Lessingham, Orton Brimbles.

Crews arrived to find a house well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 2.15pm, before reinspecting the area later in the afternoon.
