Building fire - Cottenham - South Cambs

On Monday (22) at 12.37am, crews from Cambourne, Sutton, Cottenham and Cambridge, along with the turntable ladder, were called to a building fire on High Street, Cottenham.

Crews arrived to find the roof of a chalet bungalow well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used three hose reels to extinguish the fire.

The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.

Crews returned to their stations by 3.40am, before reinspecting the property later in the morning.
